Design Upgrade Pro for LearnDash is Now Compatible with BuddyBoss! 🎉

April 20, 2022: Compatible with BuddyBoss 🎉
As of April 20, 2022, our Design Upgrade Pro for LearnDash plugin is now compatible with the BuddyBoss theme.

Feel free to read on if you’d like to know how Design Upgrade Pro for LearnDash versions 2.18 and below worked with BuddyBoss. But if you’re using BuddyBoss and would like to use our plugin, we highly recommend you update to version 2.19 or later for the best experience.

TLDR: Some people use Design Upgrade Pro for LearnDash with BuddyBoss successfully. It can be done, but it depends on a) if you’re using BuddyBoss platform, BuddyBoss theme, or both, and b) which LearnDash elements you use, and c) which Design Upgrade options you’re using.

In most cases, it’s the theme that isn’t compatible. If you’re just using the platform plugin, most (if not all) of Design Upgrade Pro for LearnDash’s features will work as expected.

How to Programatically Number LearnDash Sections, Lessons & Topics with CSS

Justin from the LearnDash Facebook group asked if there was a way to automatically add numbers before each lesson using the BuddyBoss theme + platform. I was pretty confident the answer was yes, so I rolled up my sleeves and got to work.

Not only can we do this for BuddyBoss, but I’ll provide you with the CSS to do this for all themes using the LearnDash 3.0 template, as well as those using the Legacy template. I’ll even throw in some code to auto-number lessons & topics in the Uncanny LearnDash Toolkit Dashboard.

This is the perfect solution for those who want to display lesson/topic numbers in navigation & course lists, but not include the number in the actual lesson or topic title. This way, the numbers don’t show up at the top of each individual page. They only appear when viewing lists & navigational elements 👍.

It also works great for those who switch lessons & topics around or use them in multiple courses with shared course steps.
