Tutor LMS + BuddyBoss Integration Now Available! 😲 🤩 👏

BuddyBoss just released their long-awaited Tutor LMS integration… and it’s nicely done. Because Tutor LMS includes a ton of features in their core plugin, BuddyBoss had to carefully navigate how to integrate their powerful features alongside Tutor’s.

BuddyBoss now integrates with 3 of the most popular WordPress LMS plugins on the market—LearnDash, LifterLMS, and Tutor LMS.

Let’s take a look at the design & functionality you’ll enjoy with the new Tutor LMS BuddyBoss integration.

If you haven’t decided on a WordPress LMS plugin yet, you can start with Tutor LMS for free. There are limitations on the free version, and some of the features that integrate with BuddyBoss will require you to upgrade, but you can see if it might be the right plugin for your new LMS site.

The improved design & Tutor LMS integration features requires the BuddyBoss Theme & Platform Pro. They are not available in the free BuddyBoss Platform plugin.

BuddyBoss Design for Tutor LMS

BuddyBoss tried to keep a lot of the Tutor LMS design intact. However, they did apply their BuddyBoss look & feel to everything. You can use all the color & design options within BuddyBoss to customize the UI, and all the BuddyBoss-only features (like messaging, notifications, social groups, forums, etc.) will have the same BuddyBoss design that you’re used to.

Let’s take a look at each of Tutor’s main elearning pages to see how they look with BuddyBoss.

Tutor LMS Course Pages

Here’s an example of a Tutor LMS course page on the BuddyBoss Theme.

Tutor LMS Lesson Pages

Here you can see a Tutor LMS lesson page on the BuddyBoss Theme. It looks similar to both LearnDash & LifterLMS lesson pages when using BuddyBoss, however, you’ll notice subtle differences that make it unique to Tutor, like the X in the right-corner for returning to the course, or the sidebar navigation styles.

See below for a BuddyBoss group page, displaying the courses that belong to that group.

Tutor LMS Instructor Registration Page

One of the added features of the Tutor LMS-BuddyBoss integration is a new instructor registration form & confirmation page. If you’re using Tutor LMS’ multiple instructor feature to create an elearning marketplace (or just offer your instructors commissions), you’ll really like what BuddyBoss has added here.

This is an example of the confirmation page after an instructor registers on your site. You can also manually approve new instructors in the WordPress backend.

Social Activity Feed Updates

All course activity posted by an instructor in Tutor LMS (including courses, lessons, quizzes, and assignments) will be automatically posted on your BuddyBoss social activity feed. When a course is associated with a group, course activity is also posted to that group page. This helps keeps your learners more engaged and motivated to progress through the course.

Instructor Registration Page

BuddyBoss adds a new registration form for instructors to join your platform and start selling (or just creating) courses on your site. We’ve already highlighted the confirmation screen in the previous section, but here’s an example of an easy way to add the instructor registration link in your main navigation.

Achievements in BuddyBoss Profile

All of the Tutor LMS achievements that a student earns are displayed on their profile page.
